This is made from a vintage furisode (formal kimono for unmarried girls/women) kimono which was sourced from the Osaka area of Japan. It is approximately 30 years old.
The fabric is a silk, with a pattern woven into the fabric giving it a textured finish. The design is further enhanced by Shibori tie dye and gold printed areas.
